Who We Are

Dr. David Myers grew up with a older brother and sister on a small farm in northwest Oklahoma. His formative years were spent with a grand total of 6 classmates in Nash Public School where he acquired a love of reading, which he maintains today. After graduating from Jet-Nash Public School in 1973, Dr. Myers began his college career at Lee College in Cleveland, Tennessee. After two years, he moved back to Enid, Oklahoma where he graduated in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education with a Social Studies teaching certificate. His first teaching job was in Drummond, Oklahoma at Drummond Public Schools teaching High School History, Government, and Driver’s Education. From there he served in a variety of academic capacities including Principal, Superintendent of Schools, and College President. Over the years, Dr. Myers has served dozens of Faith Based Organizations as a Fund Raising Consultant.

In addition to his Bachelor’s degree from Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma, Dr. Myers also holds a Master’s degree in Education Administration from Phillips University and a Doctor of Education degree from Oklahoma State University. He is state certified as a Superintendent of Schools. While serving in education, Dr. Myers became recognized for his ability to build organizations and turn troubled organizations around. As a part of that, he became an expert at building teams and mentoring leaders. A skill that has been very much in evidence in his work in the Senior Housing Industry.

In addition to his work in education, Dr. Myers is also an ordained minister (1979) who has pastored numerous churches as well as serving as a Church Growth Consultant. He currently holds both a Master of Ministry degree and a Ph.D. in Practical Theology and Church Growth.

After retiring from his career as a School Administrator, Dr. Myers got involved in Health Care Administration by serving with Northwest Oklahoma Pastoral Care Association in Enid, Oklahoma as Executive Director. After leaving there, he has served Senior Housing facilities at all levels, from CCRC’s, to Independent Living’s, to Assisted Living’s, and Memory Care facilities.
